The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test or NEET-UG, formerly the All India Pre-Medical Test (AIPMT), is an all India pre-medical entrance test for students who wish to pursue undergraduate medical (MBBS), dental (BDS), and equivalent AYUSH (BAMS, BUMS, BHMS, etc.) courses in government and private institutions in India and also, for those intending to pursue primary medical qualification abroad.

Exam Pattern:

A total of 180 questions asked in the exam, 45 questions from Physics, 45 questions from Chemistry, 90 questions from Biology. Each correct response yields +4 marks and each incorrect response yields -1 mark. The exam duration is 3 hours. The maximum number of marks on the exam is 720.


Physics, Chemistry, and Biology taught in classes 11 and 12 as prescribed by the NCERT
